Prince of Peace Lutheran Preschool
About Us
Welcome to Prince of Peace Lutheran Preschool!
We offer a non-denominational Christian program that prepares children to begin school on an educational level, while simultaneously creating excitement to learn. Our philosophy is simple; every child should have the same opportunities for education. All teachers at our preschool have backgrounds in early childhood education and participate in yearly, updated trainings to further their education for the benefit of your child. We also follow the regulations set forth by the Department of Family Service, ensuring the safety of all children at Prince of Peace Lutheran Preschool.
What will your child do at preschool? Here's a look:
-
Learn how to get along with and work with others*.
-
Respect the rights of others* by keeping hands to ourselves, for example.
-
Care for themself by tending to bathroom needs.
-
Care for items (personal and otherwise) by keeping personal items in their cubbies or backpacks and returning shared toys to appropriate places around the preschool.
-
Sharing with others and expressing themself using toys, games (structured and otherwise), words, music, and general experiences.
-
Explore and create with hands-on experiences.
-
Use new words learned from books, pictures, guests, language classes, etc.
-
Recognize differences in colors, shapes, sizes, and sounds.
-
Listen to stories, directions, and other students.
-
At the end of a student's time with us, they should be prepared to enter Kindergarten.
*Others include students and teachers.
